Beautiful vintage pendant lights salvaged from former Czechoslovakia, with a golden bubble effect oval glass and a new polished brass gallery. These distinctive retro-styled pendants would make a real feature in both a domestic or commercial space.

Much of the lighting we salvage and restore from the former Eastern Bloc was produced in the manufacturing powerhouses of former Czechoslovakia. Under Communist rule the same design was often manufactured in three scaled versions to cater for varying bulb wattage. The country is also famed for its beautiful glassware, with both wall and ceiling opaline glass lights often being used in public and residential settings, such as housing blocks and schools.

Restoration

In the mid 20th century, lights were designed with care and made to last. The work we do at skinflint is based on respecting and preserving the heritage of each piece. These striking 1970s Czech glass lights once hung in grand civic buildings, hotel lobbies and residential buildings, and are now ready for modern day use.

Product details

Each light is supplied with a new screw (E27) lamp holder, 2mtrs of brass suspension chain, traditional old gold braided cable and a ceiling mounting plate. If you would prefer another colour cable, wire suspension or an E26 lamp holder (for the USA), please just ask).
