Origin: Germany

German designs are famed for their clean lined and well engineered approach. The Bauhaus School played a major role in combining design with engineering during the late 1920s and early 1930s. A number of lights we salvage were influenced by Bauhaus School design. From the mid to late 20th century, Communist East Germany produced a wide variety of lights for both industrial, commercial and residential applications, often manufactured in three scaled versions to cater for varying bulb wattage.

Restoration

Slight wear to the enamel and the original paintwork of the wall bracket adds character and emphasises the age of the products. The catalogue extracts shown are taken from our own internal manufacturers archive. Circa 1950.
