Large run of giant vitreous enamelled lights salvaged from a railway station in the former Western Germany. Imposing hemispherical shade supported via three interconnecting steel arms to polished aluminum lamp enclosure complete with secondary ceiling mounting.

Origin: Germany

German designs are famed for their clean lined and well engineered approach. The Bauhaus School played a major role in combining design with engineering during the late 1920s and early 1930s. A number of lights we salvage were influenced by Bauhaus School design. From the mid to late 20th century, Communist East Germany produced a wide variety of lights for both industrial, commercial and residential applications, often manufactured in three scaled versions to cater for varying bulb wattage.

Restoration

These unusual lights can be utilised as either surface mounted or suspended pendants. Every one of our lights goes through a variety of processes to bring it from the worn and often dilapidated state it arrives in, to a stage where it is ready for your home. From stripping down and rewiring, to applying a finish and sealing the light preventing further degradation to the surface.

Supplied with new bayonet (B22) lamp holders, 2mtrs of industrial steel suspension chain, elephant grey braided cable and ceiling mounting plate. Can be converted to accept screw (E27) or screw (E26) lamp holders (for use in USA) if required. Please state at point of order.
