1930s Austrian medical lamp

A 1930s medical heat therapy light by Panexsol Austria, now converted to a functional table light. Sensitively refurbished by hand, the light can be angled at the base and arm, making it perfect for task lighting. Featuring a polished aluminium shade and base with a wooden handle.

Restoration

Each vintage light in our workshop undergoes preparatory treatment before we are able to bring it back to life. Retaining as many of the light’s original features as possible, the work we do is about respecting the heritage of each piece. So, with ferrous metals such as iron and steel, we linish the surface on large rotating wire wheels adding depth, grain and highlights to the casting details, thus bringing out the light’s character.
