An original three arm 1930's machinists light by British manufacturers 'E.D.L'. Suitable for different applications, by simply rotating the rear wall plate on installation, the light can be used as either a wall, ceiling or table mounted work light.

Origin: UK

Lighting design in the UK benefitted from a free market. Different companies were working at the same time, designing and producing similar products for the same market. Often with only slight differences in their style, they constantly upgraded and improved their original designs. The products we salvage come from the old industrial heartland of England. This area of the UK was once the boiler room of the British economy - from the potteries of Stoke, through the engineering works of Birmingham, to the wool, textile and cotton mills of Oldham and Manchester.

Restoration

The makers label is still intact on the shade, along with slight wear to the original green finish, both of which emphasise the age of the light. There is articulation at the shade and arm joints, and 180deg rotation at the base. ​​​​​​​The installation card image is from our own internal manufacturers archive and would have been supplied with the products when originally retailed.

Supplied tested and rewired with traditional black braided cable, a new bayonet (B22) lamp holder and an integral switch within the base.
