Striking Czech pendants salvaged from a civic building in Prague - part of a larger haul of miniature glass lights in varying size and design. The open-bottomed glass shade has prismatic detailing to the inside, and an opulent retro moulded design to the outer. Eye-catching feature pendants suspended singularly or in clusters, with or without the lights turned on.

Origin: Czechoslovakia (former)

Much of the lighting we salvage and restore from the former Eastern Bloc was produced in the manufacturing powerhouses of former Czechoslovakia. Under Communist rule the same design was often manufactured in three scaled versions to cater for varying bulb wattage. The country is also famed for its beautiful glassware, with both wall and ceiling opaline glass lights often being used in public and residential settings, such as housing blocks and schools.

Restoration

Every one of our lights goes through a variety of restoration processes to bring it from the worn and often dilapidated state it arrives in, to a stage where it is refurbished and updated for modern-day use ready for your home. From stripping down and rewiring, to meticulously reviewing which components can be kept or replaced, we finish by sealing the light to prevent further degradation to the surface - securing their use for many more decades to come.
