Small yet stylish 1960s glass pendants salvaged from former Czechoslovakia, featuring a unique moulded diamond design to the open-bottomed glass shade. Suspend asymmetrically in pairs or in clusters to create a real statement piece and a striking effect with or without the lights illuminated.

Much of the lighting we salvage and restore from the former Eastern Bloc was produced in the manufacturing powerhouses of former Czechoslovakia. Under Communist rule the same design was often manufactured in three scaled versions to cater for varying bulb wattage. The country is also famed for its beautiful glassware, with both wall and ceiling opaline glass lights often being used in public and residential settings, such as housing blocks and schools.

Restoration

In the mid 20th century, lights were designed with care and made to last. The work we do at skinflint is based on respecting and preserving the heritage of each piece. These pendants are a classic retro Czech style with a delicate moulded glass design. Now each light has been meticulously restored by our experts ready for modern-day use.

Product details

Each light is supplied with a new screw (E27) lamp holder, 2mtrs of stainless steel braided cable and a ceiling suspension plate. If you would prefer another colour cable, please just ask.
