Unusual 1970s retro styled pendant lights. The hand blown clear glass has a ribbed detailing to the inside surface and a distinctive profile, making these lights real feature fittings. Complete with the original chrome plated gallery and lamp holder shroud.

Origin: Czechoslovakia (former)

Much of the lighting we salvage and restore from the former Eastern Bloc was produced in the manufacturing powerhouses of former Czechoslovakia. Under Communist rule the same design was often manufactured in three scaled versions to cater for varying bulb wattage. The country is also famed for its beautiful glassware, with both wall and ceiling opaline glass lights often being used in public and residential settings, such as housing blocks and schools.

Restoration

Restoring a light doesn’t necessarily mean making it ‘like new’. We often preserve the visible signs of age, such as spots of wear and patina, to give a hint about the light’s first story. Or we might reveal the bare metal, accentuating its build and design.

Product details

Each light is supplied with a new screw (E27) lamp holder, 2mtrs of suspension chain, traditional silver braided cable and ceiling mounting plate. If you would prefer another colour cable, please just ask.
