XL Soviet factory pendants (V2)

Extra large pendant lights salvaged from an industrial site within the former Soviet Union. Each light comprises a large green enamel shade and a polished aluminium gallery. In each gallery is a prismatic lens which creates a really nice feature and uplighting when lit.

Origin: Czechoslovakia (former)

Much of the lighting we salvage and restore from the former Eastern Bloc was produced in the manufacturing powerhouses of former Czechoslovakia. Under Communist rule the same design was often manufactured in three scaled versions to cater for varying bulb wattage. The country is also famed for its beautiful glassware, with both wall and ceiling opaline glass lights often being used in public and residential settings, such as housing blocks and schools.

Restoration

The final step of the restoration process of each light is reassembly. All of the components, both new and refurbished, are meticulously pieced together in our workshops. Each light is then photographed and added to our collection alongside information about its origins and history we’ve discovered through our research. What happens next is up to you.

Each light is supplied with a new screw (E27) lamp holder, 2mtrs of suspension chain, elephant grey braided cable and ceiling mounting plate. (If you would prefer another colour cable, wire suspension or an E26 lamp holder for use in the USA, please just ask).
