Unlike the communist Eastern Bloc countries, lighting design in mid-century U.S.A. benefitted from a free market. Different companies were working at the same time designing and producing similar products for the same market, often with only slight differences in their style. Due to the location we rarely have the opportunity to reclaim and restore light fixtures from the U.S.A., but some of our perennial favourites are the old signal lights that adorned the highways of the midwest. We reconfigure and restore these timeless classics into functional pendant lights, for both residential and commercial use.

Restoration

Very slight wear to the enamel adds character and emphasises the age and heritage of the product. Every one of our lights goes through a variety of processes to bring it from the worn and often dilapidated state it arrives in, to a stage where it is ready for your home. From stripping down and rewiring, to applying a finish and sealing the light preventing further degradation to the surface.
