Salvaged ex military runway light from the USA, utilised extensively on army runways and aircraft carriers. Brushed and lacquered steel enclosure with internal makers mark and cast branding within fantastic two part Fresnel lens.

Unlike the communist Eastern Bloc countries, lighting design in mid-century U.S.A. benefitted from a free market. Different companies were working at the same time designing and producing similar products for the same market, often with only slight differences in their style. Due to the location we rarely have the opportunity to reclaim and restore light fixtures from the U.S.A., but some of our perennial favourites are the old signal lights that adorned the highways of the midwest. We reconfigure and restore these timeless classics into functional pendant lights, for both residential and commercial use.

Restoration

This statement light is complete with original runway side diffusion element on outer glass prism. Base design allows luminaire to be rotated 360 degrees. Superb additional industrial features complete the product - a real 'one off.'
