1950s Russian army field wall lights salvaged from decommissioned stock in Lithuania. Featuring the original bakelite gallery and steel shade which has been restored and refinished with a black swan neck bracket.

Many of the products we salvage and restore from the former Eastern Bloc were produced in the former U.S.S.R. and are defined by a clean industrial aesthetic. As with other Communist countries, the same design was often manufactured in three scaled versions to cater for varying bulb wattage. Lights from this region are often defined by their distinctive light green, two-tone colourways.

Restoration

Each and every one of our vintage lights goes through a variety of restoration processes to bring it from the worn and dilapidated state it arrives in, to a stage where it is ready for modern-day use. The first and most important stage is fully dismantling and researching the light - we do this even if we have hundreds of identical lights. We then undertake an in-depth review of its construction and following that, map its journey through restoration.
