1950s Russian Army field pendant lights salvaged from decommissioned stock in Lithuania. Comprising a restored and refinished black shade in addition to the original bakelite gallery, featuring the manufacturer's detailing and cast markings.

Many of the products we salvage and restore from the former Eastern Bloc were produced in the former U.S.S.R. and are defined by a clean industrial aesthetic. As with other Communist countries, the same design was often manufactured in three scaled versions to cater for varying bulb wattage. Lights from this region are often defined by their distinctive light green, two-tone colourways.

Restoration

In the mid 20th century, lights were designed with care and made to last. The work we do at skinflint is based on respecting and preserving the heritage of each piece. We have three guiding principles: to salvage the best lighting from the 1920s to the 1970s; to restore every piece sensitively - without compromising its character; and to restore each fixture to the highest modern standards.

Each light is supplied with a new screw (E27) lamp holder, 2mtrs of black braided cable and ceiling mounting plate. (If you would prefer another colour cable or an E26 lamp holder for use in the USA, please just ask).
