1950s Russian army field wall lights salvaged from decommissioned stock in Lithuania. Featuring the original bakelite gallery and silver steel shade and a new swan-neck bracket.

Many of the products we salvage and restore from the former Eastern Bloc were produced in the former U.S.S.R. and are defined by a clean industrial aesthetic. As with other Communist countries, the same design was often manufactured in three scaled versions to cater for varying bulb wattage. Lights from this region are often defined by their distinctive light green, two-tone colourways.

Restoration

Each and every light that we find goes through a variety of processes to bring it from the worn and often dilapidated state it arrives in, to a stage where it is ready for modern-day use. The first and most crucial stage is fully dismantling each piece - we do this even if we have many of the same identical lights - allowing us to undertake an in-depth review of each light’s construction, state of repair, and map its journey through to restoration.
