Lit by skinflint: Disclaimer
Alfonso Cuarón’s newest series Disclaimer is a wild ride of confused realities and crossed narratives, leaving you questioning what to believe. The star-studded cast, including Kevin Kline, Cate Blanchett, and Sacha Baron-Cohen each play their role in the tangled narrative, as the series weaves between past and present.
Documentarian Catherine is forced to contend with her past when a book seemingly written about her surfaces. Sent alongside incriminating images to her husband and son, the viewer is compelled to pick a side as Catherine is thrown from her comfortable life.
A number of our lights were hired for this series, including our vintage Czech hotel pendants, glass and bakelite teardrop pendants, and our 1970s opal pendant lights.
Our Czech Bakelite LED lights can be seen in Catherine’s office, their industrial design lending themselves towards the trendy post-industrial set. The black Bakelite galleries complement the darker features of the set, as well as the gloomier colour grade of the present day scenes.
Whether your set is in the past or the present, our vintage lights are the perfect addition to any set. Get in touch with prophire@skinflintdesign.com to hire!
