
Lit by skinflint: Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny
Indiana Jones returns to our screens once more! We are taken back in time to the French Alps in 1944, where Indy and Basil are forced to hide amongst Nazis whilst in search for treasure. In order to prevent an ancient artefact getting into the wrong hands, namely those of German Astrophysicist Voller, Indy and Basil find themselves fighting for Archimedes’ dial on a Nazi train.
Our 1930s bulkheads can be spotted lighting the train carriages, their polished aluminium enclosures adding to the industrial set design, whilst their original maker’s marks give the scene authenticity. These lights were salvaged from German cargo ships, making them the perfect addition to this set on a German train.
Later, in 1969, our 50s linear lights can be seen lighting the cafe where he reunites with Basil’s daughter Helena. Their black Bakelite enclosures and strong downlighting provide the perfect contrast in the dark interior.
