XL Ceramics factory lights

Era: 1950s Origin: Poland

These impressive industrial pendant lights were salvaged from a disused ceramics factory on the Polish-Czechoslovakian border. Each light has a brushed and lacquered steel enclosure with the original substantial Fresnel convex glass lens.

As featured in the Warner Bros TV series 'Pennyworth'.

Origin: Poland

Many of the products we salvage and restore from the former Eastern Bloc were produced in Poland. As with the majority of lights designed and manufactured under Communist rule - during the period from the end of the Second World War to the fall of the Berlin wall - they are defined by a clean industrial aesthetic, with the same design often manufactured in three scaled versions to cater for varying bulb wattage.

Lit by skinflint

For those of you with a keen eye, you might have spotted these factory pendants in The Flash! These XL pendants can be seen in the 1989 Bat Cave, their industrial finish and striking side profile creating the perfect silhouette in the shadowy cave. Read more about the project on our projects page.

Each light is supplied with a new screw (E27) lamp holder, 2mtrs of suspension chain, elephant grey braided cable and ceiling mounting plate. If you would prefer another colour cable, please just ask.
