Vintage converted medical floor standing lamp. Polished aluminium shade and brass plated arm with a chrome plated upper stem. Mounted upon a three-legged steel medical lamp stand dated 1967, with the original raw painted finish and castors.

Restoration

The height on this floor light can be adjusted through the stem with articulation and rotation of the shade at arm and stem connections. Restoring a light doesn’t necessarily mean making it ‘like new’. We often preserve the visible signs of age, such as spots of wear and patina, to give a hint about the light’s first story. Or we might reveal the bare metal, accentuating its build and design.
