Vintage counterbalance desk light

A vintage counterbalance desk light from the 1940s. There is 360-degree rotation at the base and articulation at the shade, while the smooth movement and articulation of the light is due to the delicate engineering of the counterbalanced design.

Restoration

The original black surface finish shows slight wear but has been retained adding character to the lamp with an interesting patina. A stepped steel base and counterbalance add subtle detailing to the overall design of the light.

Supplied tested and rewired with 2mtrs of black twisted cable and new bayonet (B22) lamp holder with integral switch and a plug.
