Former Eastern Bloc prismatic rectilinear bulkhead lights with an angled mounting. Featuring an oxidised treatment to the enclosure, with an original prismatic glass lens. Great for residential and commercial use.

Origin: Czechoslovakia (former)

Much of the lighting we salvage and restore from the former Eastern Bloc was produced in the manufacturing powerhouses of former Czechoslovakia. Under Communist rule the same design was often manufactured in three scaled versions to cater for varying bulb wattage. The country is also famed for its beautiful glassware, with both wall and ceiling opaline glass lights often being used in public and residential settings, such as housing blocks and schools.

Restoration

Oxide is a range of lights featuring specially treated steel or iron enclosures, that have been purposely and individually oxidised in our workshops to create an interesting array of rich surface patinas. The enclosures are then sealed through a unique preservation technique to prevent further ageing.

Each light is supplied with a new screw (E27) lamp holder. The lights are suitable as both wall and ceiling fittings.
