Cornish farmhouse vintage kitchen lighting

Reclaimed fittings provided by The Main Company and vintage kitchen pendant lighting supplied by us at skinflint play a pivotal role in the transformation of this old Cornish farmhouse, now converted into a bright and modern holiday home.
Utilising the open-plan kitchen and dining room to create a space that combines the family’s love of entertaining and dining, The Main Company’s bespoke shaker kitchen features alongside their reclaimed wall cladding and Versailles patterned flooring. Tactile textures are continued throughout with pantry units painted in Little Greene’s eco-friendly Basalt Blue, reclaimed cupboards and concrete worktops that run alongside the main kitchen wall, while the chunky kitchen island features an aged copper top, smooth painted cabinets and concrete sink.
Providing statement lighting above the island are three of skinflint’s industrial enamelled pendant lights. Salvaged from a Hungarian piggery, the 1950s vitreous enamelled steel shades show slight signs of wear in testament to their heritage and age, complementing the industrial features including exposed steel beams and brickwork in the wider space.
