Vintage workplace lighting at Freefolk VFX
We’re big film and tv fanatics at skinflint; our prop-hire division work closely with the likes of Warner Brothers, Paramount, Netflix, Apple TV. So being approached by MATA Architects for the vintage lights in Freefolk post-production house's new workspace felt like a great next step! Experts in VFX, CGI and creative for the film, tv and advertising industries, Freefolk do the post on an enviable roster of titles, from Universal’s Fast X to Paramount’s The Alienist.
But that’s not the only reason we’re excited. Their impressive, newly renovated Grade II listed Spitalfields Weaver House building features two of our Eastern Bloc 1960s linear lights. MATA explain the vision was to celebrate and enhance the original 18th Century architectural character of the buildings with a view to invest in their place of work, drawing staff, new talent and clients back to the office.
Suspended in the light-filled courtyard, our Eastern Bloc 1960s linear lights bring the finishing touches to a hybrid reception, lobby, circulation and break out space. We love it!
